I removed the default cube, then added a UV sphere, and modeled the acorn off that, and I separated the top part as it's own object, and the bottom as it's own. I then added a plane, and messed with some particles to create the grass. Environmental lighting is enabled and the project uses 2 spot lamps for lighting, and 2 textures 1 for the top of the acorn, and 1 for the bottom.

You can download the blender model below, and see how I did it, and make some modifications if you'd like.
