question was....

Hey, I'm the guy from myspace who was asking about the JW player and how to set it up on myspace.

my answer was:

Ok Whats up?

Here is the embed code you need. I will explain below how to make it work per what the request is from the player itself and the way this one is made that you wanted.

Code:

<embed src="SWF URL GOES HERE" width="470" height="320" bgcolor="#ffffff" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="file=http://FLV URL GOES HERE=http://content.bitsontherun.com/thumbs/qyehIiBT.jpg&controlbar=over&duration=34&fullscreen=true&stretching=fill"/>

In this player itself, like we was talking about... well it does not need to .xml really, its a single file play ( so called ) how its set up and coded at the moment.

All you need to do is get the flv URL from youtube as you wanted and add where i wrote that in the code like so FLV URL GOES HERE

Also add the swf file URL where i wrote that part in the code. SWF URL GOES HERE

Then put it on your myspace and see if it works.

A good way to test that first would be to do a test bulletin. ( BUT DO NOT POST IT) JUST DO THAT TO PREVIEW IT. That way you can see if work or not first.

I will also test it real fast and see if it works if you post your swf URL below here so i can use it.

the he said:

everything seems fine cept the video wont play.
same problem i was having with this player before.

my answer was:

Here is the correct code as a sample with one of mine funny video i just downloaded in it. The problem is that youtube now has it where you can not really get the direct .flv URL out from there system. So basically you have to download it and then upload the .flv file some where such as your own server or a host that supports .flv's The add the flv URL in the code. I was just checking around and searching including using my old options how i even use to know how to do it manually and even with greasemonkey or add-ons to firefox and none seem to work no more. So if you want to know how and the easiest way to Download the actually file let me know and i will show you how and send you program to do so. The only problem with that is you do not have a host for them.

here is a sample player working. ( NOTE: i will be deleting that flv file soon from my servers)

Code:

<embed src="http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/10/28/2163670/player.swf" width="470" height="320" bgcolor="#ffffff" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="file=http://xtremestylez.com/flash/Monkey_****ing.flv&controlbar=over&duration=34&fullscreen=true&stretching=fill"/>
