Yeah for sure.. MCAffee need to go asap. Before it kills your whole system like it has been lately to millions.
Also bigger HD for more space and more ram wouldnt hurt either but 2 is pretty decent. That little amount of programs will not so called hurt anything. Can handle way more or better stuff then just that little bit.
Plus i would advise you to ditch XPpro tho as well if / when you can. Go with Win7 home prem or XP home prem. If you really want to stay with XP. It's going out anyways in the next few mths. No more support from MS no more.

ok, thanks, was thinking something faster than dual core, he said next one up will switch you to win 7 and that would go in 400 dollar range i think.
mcafee down hill again, what happened? i know he'll push to know, he's got something to do with that company and offered it for lifetime at no cost. can't remember the details on that now.
oh, he's pro dell and nom hp and im the opposite of that, being i got this fancy scanner from someone that is hp and i got the disk, i don't expect a problem with communicating between machines, right?
he programs the dells the way he likes a machine to run, not factory standard stuff.

As i said before hun. Dont kno why you just dont rent to own one. Very cheap for a brand new one with all the goodies. Win7.. ftw.. As for MCaf-suckie. [i renamed them] lol He should know already and so should you. It's been all over the net for the last 6 mths. plus another time last year. Bad updates and there whole system. It's crashing tons & tons of computers. Here's a short brief in on it.. http://download.cnet.com/8301-2007_4-10473692-12.html?tag=mncolNo prob with using scanners on any machine. If that is what your asking.

haven't watched the news in the last six months, wow!! that sucks to be them
i think they would charge me alot of money with the rent to own, i have re possession on my credit rating and lots of outstanding bills, so, that's why i haven't gone that route.
ftw???
and yes, that's what i was asking about the scanner, thanks

i don't know, seems like over the time you pay, you'll pay alot more, but i'll check out the one local to me, but i only need the tower, i have everything else. *shrugs shoulders* i looked at a few, and it seemed the only other goodie they offered was the video in the camera, i just laughed. i was thinking laptop, but the batteries i'm told have a lifetime of about 5 years to 10 and seem pretty pricey to get another, even though i liked the idea of move it from room to room, but i guess i'll stick with a desktop after all. and with this computer stuff, you got that right, ftw, we actually all got through in life without one at one time.

I couldn't now..
anyways i was referring to Win7. Mary lol.. when somebody says FTW before or after something they mean like screw everything else and what ever they type that with is the best or rocks or they love it etc... Slang so to speak.
PS` If your going to get a laptop. Get one. Dont worry about the battery. Its not bad nor that much $$$
AND your not buying a car hun with interest lol. Its a rent to own. Yeah a little more but not alot like other things.
Anyways goodluck.

:ogoing with the guy building this, just got a bad vibe from pushy salesperson (comissioned i guess) desperate and making promises i just didn't believe, getting a better deal with this guy, going to 4 gb ram, hd drive space going from 2-4 as well, windows 7 home-as you suggested for 425.00, i think that beats the 3,695 total price, the monthly price is over what i can do, the only better offer on rent a center was the better than 5.1 stereo, built in video cam to chat with others (no thanks) and sony vaio. but i checked it out.
i've waited this long-not by choice though, i can wait another 3 months till i have it paid for and pick it up.

They are only bout 30 a mth. Not to mention.. ANY brand one is better then a built one of the cal you are talking no matter what OS they put on it or ram with this person building it..
Anyways might want to have him [if he even knows how] to put a recovery partition in it with the OS installed in it only so can reformat way easily.

this sony vaio was 173.00 a month, none of the few machines they had were anywhere in the 30.00 a month price range, if it was, i'd be picking it up tomorrow.
any operating system can be partioned? is that the same as xp being rolled back?
if the guy is using new parts, what difference does it make compared to a new machine?, isn't it what the guts are that m"e the computer?

Lots of diff. Anyways yes any OS can be. Its not the OS that you do that to. It's the HD inside the system which holds the OS or if there is extra HDs in it or external ones. No that's not the same thing as XP being rolled back. Totally diff & has nothing to do with this nor would need or nobody should even want to.
