just right click > add to archive
about those that you already did, in some cases it won't do much since it wont compress more that it can so at times you're gonna have really low archives but at times not that low, they all do the same

http://www.win-rar.comyeah, thats what i do but, still seems on certain things it doesnt compress worth a shit, but on other things its great.. WTF. you think it would still be the same ratio of compression on it all no matter what type file.
oohh yeah and i will 4 sure check that out more and see at that link plus some other places to see whats up with it.
look at it this way
a .gif could only be compressed to a certain point, after that it won't compress any more cause it doesn't have more info to strip out
on the other hand a .jpg that has millions of colors could be compressed more since it has more info that could be stripped out
yeah i know and understand it that way, but still.....
like this for an example.
i did a movie file that was 500mb, i compressed it into a rar file and it ended up being 5.5mb
but then do a damn install .exe file or a folder with a program file in it that is 385mb, then compress it and it comes only out to 375mb
